Effects of auricular acupressure on depression and anxiety in isolated COVID-19 patients: a single-blind randomized controlled trial

INTERVENTION: Auricular acupressure group :Auricular acupressure on Shenmen, Subcortex, Liver and Endocrine ;Sham group :Auricular acupressure on Knee, Wrist, Elbow, Shoulder ; CONDITION: depression and anxiety of isolated COVID‐19 patients PRIMARY OUTCOME: Zung Self‐Rating Depression Scale;Zung Self‐Rating Anxiety Scale; INCLUSION CRITERIA: (1) Diagnosis of mild to moderate COVID‐19 pneumonia based on clinical manifestations, abnormal findings in computed tomography scans and confirmation by real‐time reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction assays from nasal and pharyngeal swab specimens; (2) Aged 18‐80 years old; (3) An inde Xscore of 50 or higher on the Zung Self‐Rating Depression Scale (SDS); (4) An inde Xscore of 45 or higher on the Zung Self‐Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS); (5) Able to read and fill out the scales.
