Parkinson’s Disease Treated with Tongxinluo Capsule, Liuwei Rehmannia Root Pill and Madopar

OBJECTIVE: To observe the cure effect of Tongxinluo Capsule, Liuwei Rehmannia Root Pill and Madopar in combination on Parkinson’s disease. METHOD: Randomly divide 60 cases into 2 groups,the treatment group 30 cases take Tongxinluo Capsule and Liuwei Rehmannia Root Pill on the basis of Madopar; the control one only Madopar. Evaluate and compare both groups at UPDRS subscale Ⅲ before treatment, 3 months and 6 months after treatment. RESULT: For the treatment group, there’s no marked difference between before and after treatment; for the control one,there’s marked difference between before treatment and 6 months after treatment, the score was lower before than after treatment; obvious difference between both groups after 6 months of treatment,the treatment group was lower than the control one. CONCLUSION: Combination of TCM and western medicine can delay the developments of the Parkinson’s disease.
