INTERVENTION: Auriculotherapy Other The present study will be attended by students of the in‐person undergraduate courses of UNILAB, namely: public administration, agronomy, anthropology, Bachelor of Humanities – BHU, Biological Sciences – Bachelor, Nature Sciences and mathematics, science Social, nursing, energy Engineering, Computer Engineering, physics, history, letters – Portuguese language, Mathematics – Bachelor, Pedagogy – Bachelor, Chemistry – Bachelor and Sociology – Bachelor's degree. According to data available on the online page of UNILAB, in the first semester of 2018.2, the quantitative number of 3,494 students was enrolled in the institution. Thus, the population (N) considered for the calculation was 3,494. In view of the non‐feasibility of establishing the prevalence, we adopted a prevalence (p) of 50% (0.5) and the complement of the sample proportion (q) of 50% (0.5). The sample error adopted was 5% (0.05) and a confidence level of 95% (1.96). Thus, the sample with rounding must have at least 347 academics. The first stage of the study will include 347 students. In the second stage, students who obtain elevated levels in the EADS scale and unsatisfactory results in the instrument that evaluates the quality of life of the participants will participate. The students of the second stage will be randomly divided into two groups, one that will receive the intervention with Auriculotherapy and another that will not receive the intervention. The Auriculotherapy sessions will be performed by the proponent of the research that conducted a training course in auriculotherapy in which it involved theoretical activities, practices and distance studies for the implementation of Auriculotherapy as an intervention. The materials required to perform the activity will be: auriculotherapy plate, adhesive tape and/or hypoallergenic micropore, mustard seeds because they have affordable value and easy to acquire, serrated clinical tweezers for auriculotherapy, Stylus, spring‐loaded pressure probe for CONDITION: Anxiety Anxiety; Depression; Other anxious disorders ; Anxiety ; Depression ; Other anxiety disorders Depression Other anxiety disorders PRIMARY OUTCOME: Reduction of stress, anxiety and depression levels and improvement of quality of life in academics of an international university after intervention with Auriculotherapy.
