Objective: To synthesize evidence on psychiatric disorders in people with psoriasis, their impact on quality of life and mental health, and interventions that modify these outcomes. Method: Integrative review with a PubMed search (2021 to 2026) and one additional record from Consensus. Results: Thirty-two studies were included: 18 systematic reviews and 14 primary studies. The prevalence of depression and anxiety in adults was approximately 20% and 21%, respectively, with considerable variation. Suicidal ideation and acts were more frequent in some studies, with no consistent association with completed suicide. Biologic medications reduced depressive and anxiety symptoms; psychological interventions reduced anxiety, with an uncertain effect on depression and quality of life. Conclusion: Psoriasis is associated with a higher burden of mental distress, and mental health assessment can be integrated into care without restricting it to people with extensive skin disease.
