Telemonitoring for TMD-Related Pain

This prospective randomized clinical trial evaluates the effectiveness of a structuredtelemonitoring protocol as an adjunct to conservative management in patients withtemporomandibular disorder (TMD)‐related orofacial pain. Participants receivestandardized conservative therapy based on behavioural counselling, habit reversaltraining, and home‐based self‐management exercises, with or without structuredtelemonitoring. Clinical outcomes include pain intensity, mandibular function, and oralbehaviours, assessed over a 9‐month follow‐up period. The study aims to determine whethertelemonitoring improves treatment adherence, behavioural modification, and clinicaloutcomes compared with conventional in‐office follow‐up.
