A randomized control test of cognitive behavior therapy for pain relief during orthodontic treatment

INTERVENTION: Group A:(cognitive behavioral therapy): Each patient was received cognitive behavioral therapy include cognitive restructuring and relaxation training. Then patients were required to finish the State Anxiety Inventory(S‐AI), containing visual analog scale (VAS). ;Group B:(analgesic drug): Each patient was given 100mg ibuprofen sustained release capsules, and was required to finish the State Anxiety Inventory(S‐AI), containing visual analog scale(VAS). ;Group C:(blank control group): Patients were required to finish the State Anxiety Inventory(S‐AI), containing visual analog scale (VAS) without special intervention.; CONDITION: Pain during orthodontic treatment PRIMARY OUTCOME: Eysenck personality questionnaire(EPQ); SECONDARY OUTCOME: Visual Analogue Scale(VAS);State anxiety scores;Type of malocclusion;Present pain intensity scale (PPI);Crowding;Size of initial wire;Cold pressure time;The Short‐Form‐36 Health Survey (SF‐36);The state anxiety inventory (S‐AI);Pain rating index (PRI);Cold Pressure Test(CPT); INCLUSION CRITERIA: 1. Male and female patients with pain during orthodontic treatments.(age>=10), who can understand and complete the test; 2. Signed informed consent.
