A Comparative Study in Earlier Schizophrenic Patients Treated with Aripiprazole and Risperidone

OBJECTIVE: To compare short term therapeutic effects of aripiprazole and risperidone in hospital patients with earlier schizophrenia. METHODS: 60 schizophrenic patients were randomized into aripiprazole group and quetiapine group.The effects of patients in two group was evaluated before the treatment and after six weeks with PANSS.Serum level of leptin and prolactin were enzymed. RESULTS: The differences of the short term therapeutic effects of aripiprazole and risperidone in earlier schizophrenic patients is not significant (P0.05). CONCLUSION: The differences of the short term therapeutic effects of aripiprazole and risperidone in earlier schizophrenic patients is not signifi cant.Effects of them on biological parameters were different.
