JournalComprehensive Psychiatry
Year 1976
Contrasted the effects of amantadine and benztropine mesylate, a control agent, on pseudoparkinsonism and other neuroleptic-induced extrapyramidal symptoms (EPS), using a double-blind, random patient assignment design. Results indicate equivalent effective action in reducing EPS, while amantadine produced significantly fewer anticholinergic side effects. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2016 APA, all rights reserved)
