INTERVENTION: Intervention1: EARLY LAPAROSCOPIC CHOLECYSTECTOMY: Early laparoscopic cholecystectomy done within 72 hours of onset of symptoms has been shown to reduce hospital stay and cost, whereas delayed laparoscopic cholecystectomy is traditionally preferred due to perceived technical difficulty during acute inflammation. Control Intervention1: DELAYED LAPAROSCOPIC CHOLECYSTECTOMY: Early laparoscopic cholecystectomy done within 72 hours of onset of symptoms has been shown to reduce hospital stay and cost, whereas delayed laparoscopic cholecystectomy is traditionally preferred due to perceived technical difficulty during acute inflammation. CONDITION: Health Condition 1: K810‐ Acute cholecystitis PRIMARY OUTCOME: Early laparoscopic cholecystectomy is expected to be safe, cost‐effective, and associated with reduced operative time, postoperative complications, hospital stay and conversion to open surgery, supporting its routine use in acute cholecystitis.Timepoint: The follow up of patients will be done at 8 weeks after laparoscopic cholecystectomy for post‐operative complications. SECONDARY OUTCOME: NILTimepoint: NIL INCLUSION CRITERIA: Clinically and radiologically diagnosed acute cholecystitis. Patients providing informed consent.
