Reflections on space of housing for elderly and Public Policy

This article is based on research, "The performance of the trainee physiotherapy in the care of institutionalized elderly", addressing the bio-psycho-aspects of human aging and social factors that lead to the institutionalization of the elderly. He also reports the relationship of physical therapy interns who provide care in LTCF (Long Stay Institution for Aged). Faced with increased life expectancy of people, it is necessary to the identification and discussion of housing problems in the society seeking alternatives and solutions. Through testimonies of the elderly, we find the diversity of aging situations that demand attention partial or full hospitalization according to their physical and intellectual, while maintaining their dignity.
