Effect Of Preoperative Nebulisation With Dexmedetomidine, Fentanyl, And Magnesium Sulphate On Postoperative Sore Throat And Stress Response During General Anaestheisa

INTERVENTION: Intervention1: Dexmedetomidine Nebulisation: Dexmedetomidine 1 mcg/kg diluted in normal saline up to 5 ml administered by nebulisation preoperatively 15 minutes before induction of anaestheisa. Intervention2: Fentanyl Nebulisation: Fentanyl 4 mcg/kg diluted in normal saline up to 5 ml administered by nebulisation preoperatively 15 minutes before induction of anaesthesia Intervention3: Magnesium Sulphate Nebulisation: Magnesium Sulphate 40 mg/kg diluted in normal saline up to 5 ml administered by nebulisation preoperatively 15 minutes before induction of anaesthesia Control Intervention1: Active Comparator: Comparison between nebulised dexmedetomidine, fentanyl and magnesium sulphate groups CONDITION: Health Condition 1: O‐ Medical and Surgical PRIMARY OUTCOME: Incidence and severity of postoperative sore throat and hemodynamic response to laryngoscopy, intubation and extubationTimepoint: Postoperative sore throat will be assessed at 2, 4, 6, 12 and 24 hours after extubation. Hemodynamic parameters including heart rate, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and mean arterial pressure will assessed at baseline, before nebulisation, during laryngoscopy and intubation, and at 2, 5 and 10 minutes after intubation, and at 2, 5 and 10 minutes after extubation. SECONDARY OUTCOME: Induction dose of propofol and adverse events including sedation, bradycardia, hypotension, desaturation, nausea and vomitingTimepoint: Intraoperative and postoperative period up to 24 hours. INCLUSION CRITERIA: ASA Grade I and II patients undergoing elective surgery under general anaesthesia requiring oral endotracheal intubation, BMI less than 30 kg/m2, Mallampatti grade I and II, duration of surgery less than 2 hours.
