INTERVENTION: Intervention1: Nitrous Oxide Oxygen Inhalation Conscious sedation: Adult participants allocated to the intervention group will undergo scaling and root planing under nitrous oxide oxygen inhalation conscious sedation. Sedation will be administered via a nasal hood using a calibrated relative analgesia unit. Oxygen will be administered initially at 100% for 2 3 minutes, followed by titration of nitrous oxide in increments of 5 10% to achieve the desired level of conscious sedation, with a maximum nitrous oxide concentration of 50% (balance oxygen). The sedative mixture will be administered continuously throughout the scaling and root planing procedure. At the completion of treatment, 100% oxygen will be administered for 3 5 minutes. The intervention will be given as a single treatment session. Control Intervention1: Scaling and Root planning: Patients allocated to the control group will undergo scaling and root planing under routine clinical conditions without nitrous oxide oxygen sedation. CONDITION: PRIMARY OUTCOME: pain ; state anxiety using vas ; trait anxiety usimg mdasTimepoint: baseline , 5 min after initiation of procedure,15 min after initiation of procedure and 5 min after the treatment SECONDARY OUTCOME: Hemodynamic parameters including blood pressure, pulse rate, & oxygen saturation ; Patient‐reported outcomes including overall satisfaction, comfort during the procedure, & willingness to undergo similar treatment again will be assessed using a structured 7‐item Likert‐scale questionnaireTimepoint: baseline, during procedure, post‐procedure after treatment INCLUSION CRITERIA: Patients with degree 2 and 3 dentin hypersensitivity according to the Schiff Cold Air Sensitivity Scale. Stage I to III periodontitis with probing depth greater or equal to 4 mm in at least one quadrant indicated for SRP ASA I to II Visual Analogue Scale for Anxiety greater than 5 and MDAS geater than 10. Able and willing to undergo SRP without local anaesthetic and to provide written informed consent
