CRD SUMMARY: This review assessed the effects of biochemotherapy for treating metastatic melanoma as compared to chemotherapy. It concluded that biochemotherapy clearly improved response rates, but did not appear to translate into a survival benefit. Given several considerations, particularly the lack of validity assessment and heterogeneity, the authors' conclusions should be interpreted with caution.
