Observation on therapeutic effects of acupuncture plus steaming washing with Chinese herbs for treatment of 40 cases of restless legs syndrome

OBJECTIVE: To find an effective method for treatment of restless legs syndrome. METHODS: 120 cases of patients with restless legs syndrome treatment time were randomly divided into three groups, acupuncture and medicine group were treated with acupuncture and herbal fumigation method treatment; simple selection of Western medication drug group; acupuncture group were receiving acupuncture treatment . RESULTS: There were response rate was 97.5%, 77.5%, 75.0%, better than the drug group and acupuncture group (P <0.01) Statistically, the efficacy of acupuncture and medicine group medicine group and no significant differences in efficacy of the acupuncture group (P> 0.05). CONCLUSION: Acupuncture plus herbal fumigation treatment of restless legs syndrome have a synergistic effect.
